This is a wonderful Vintage Hand-Crafted African Sistrum Double Fork Rattle made with a round cane or rattan material, with Flattened Bottle Caps that are used for the Jingles. Makes a light metallic tambourine sound. They are easy to hold and play. Based on the ancient sistrum rattle found in Egypt and still played today in East Africa. Made by Kamba craftsman using recycled bottle caps, wire and wood, the African Sistrum Double Fork Rattle is used in village festivals. This is a fun and wonderful instrument to share with the entire family. This would be a great gift or to add to your collection.
