This is a wonderful African Turquoise Blue Snake Glass Vertebrae Strand of Beads. This is a Czech Bohemian molded glass interlocking imitation snake vertebrae bead which comes from Venice and later traded in Africa, therefore called an African trade bead. These glass interlocking beads were designed by Bohemian bead makers to mimic the real snake bone vertebrates which were worn on traditional necklaces by some African tribe members. These beads would be wonderful used in jewelry and all your creative designs.
