This is a fabulous Hand Carved and Hand Painted Wood Stool from the Nupe Tribe of Nigeria. These stools are carved out of a single piece of wood with intricate patterns and colors. The Nupe people live along the banks of the Niger river. Their art is non-figurative and mostly decorative.
