This is a Group of 3 Old Brass Bowls that come from Zanzibar, which is situated on the Swahili Coast, adjacent to Mainland Tanzania. They come from an apothecary shop in Zanzibar and they held medicinal healing herbs and spices. The Islands do produce cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and black pepper. They were under British Rule at one time, so they could of come through The East India Trading Company. They are old and quite interesting. This would be a wonderful addition to your collection or home.
