This is a Wonderful Old African Brass Turkana Lip Plug Pendant Necklace with African Brass Heishi and Turquoise Glass Beads all strung on wire with a gold lobster claw clasp. The Turkana married women will pierce their lower lip with a brass lip plug and even sometimes they are adorned with a red bead, as a sign of beauty for important ceremonial reasons, such as right of passage in their lifetime.
