This is a lovely Rare Old Corner Double Sided Carved Wooden Swat Chair from the region of the Swat on the Northwest Frontier of the Indian Subcontinent. The wood carves in the Swat Valley developed an ornate style of woodcarving, known as Swati woodwork. This low back square floor chair features intricate carvings of leaves on the back of the chair with a woven thong seat and a twisted leather band that runs across the top. A wonderful and unique piece of tribal furniture that would compliment your collection or home.
