This is a Vintage Ornate Carved Wood Large Ceremonial Stick from the Karem River Sepik Region, Papua New Guinea. The ladle/dipper has incised carving and relief work with ceremonial clan symbols. This ladle/dipper is considered a very valuable item and is handed down through generations, of mother to daughter. The ritual takes place as a cleansing and considered sacred. This would be a wonderful addition to your collection or home.
