This is an amazing Old and Rare Shell Igorot Philippines Chest and Necklace called "Sipattal" from the Isneg people of Northern Luzon, Philippines. It is considered one of the most beautiful tribal ornaments of the Cordillerans, worn only by the Isneg tribe of northern Apayao.It is a piece of personal adornment worn by men and women alike. The Sipattalis were usually made of carved butterfly shaped mother of pearl shell, red, black, yellow and blue glass beading and incised fringe edges that hang in a repetitive pattern, and are worn suspended on the chest along with a string of beads on the head.
