This is a unique beautiful Red Eared Slider Turtle Shell. Red-eared sliders get their name from the small red stripe around their ears. The "slider" part of their name comes from their ability to slide off rocks and logs and into the water quickly. This species was previously known as Troost's turtle in honor of an American herpetologist. Originating in North America, the Red-Eared Slider is primarily aquatic and will emerge from the water for basking. It is the most sought pet turtle in the United States, and revered by collectors, because of the exquisite color and they are one of a kind. These shells are humanely collected and preserved. This would be a wonderful addition to your home or Collection.
