These Vintage Clay Abstract People from Kenya were made throughout the region for a variety of purposes, including initiation ceremonies at which they had the didactic role of visual aids in traditional education. Murals occur on the mud walls of houses and sometimes decorative, sometimes for ritual and magical purposes. Pottery is normally simple in form and decoration. The these wonderful sculptures are made out of mud/clay with great expressions and symbolism. These mud/clay dolls are part of their unique art and very important to their culture.
