This wonderful old Goat charm from the Masai Tribe in Kenya Africa. The Masai focused on leading good and holy lives in the present so that Eng’ai would bless them with good health, children and cattle. An emphasis was placed on maintaining complementary between Eng’ai and humans.They seemed to have no concept of evil spirits but did believe that people, Masai and non-Masai, were capable of evil actions, including using charms and curses to bring misfortune, sickness, or even death on other people. This charm would have been worn on the neck of a goat in a herd owned by a member of the tribe.
