This is a fabulous iron Currency Stick from the Idoma Tribal People of Nigeria. Akika (money Sticks) were used by the Idoma during ceremonies and negotiations for a bride. Iron could be converted into agricultural tools to honor the spirits of the harvest or into weapons thereby adding to its value.
