This is a unique pair of Chinese Hill tribe handmade earrings from the Dong and Miao Minority Tribes in Guizhou Provence of China. The Miao people are well-known for their handmade Jewelry and exquisite workmanship. Silver content can vary dramatically from almost pure silver to none at all, with a typical alloy being made of a combo of copper, zinc, and nickel (sometimes called alpaca, 'German silver. The silver content and weight (and the current price of silver) can affect the price. From the Miao of Guizhou, these unusual earrings are a unique bird design comprised of soldered components and overlap work. They could be used as pendants as well as earrings. Simply beautiful.
