This a fabulous African Black Vinyl Necklace and Discs are made in Africa from Vulcanite, a material that was used to make vinyl records. They are known as Vinyl Record Beads, since they are made from the same material. They are called "jigida beads," These beads are from Mali, where women wear them around their waist, to help them hold their shape. Temporarily strung on thread, the way these beads are traditionally strung in Africa. Fabulous just to wear or to create jewelry with.
