This Wonderful Old Natural Wood Milk Pitcher Comes from the Pokot Tribal People of Kenya. This wood pitcher was used for milk or water by Pokot women. The Pokot have a very unusual dairy product that has been produced by village communities for generations. This product is a yogurt made of cow’s or goat’s milk, mixed with the ashes of the native Cromwo tree. The Pokot people use pitchers to drink their milk from goats and cattle. These pitchers were treasured and necessary in everyday life. This is an old and beautifully burnished pitcher. This pitcher would be a lovely addition to your collection or home.
