This is a unique Wood and Animal Hide Quiver from San Bushmen Tribal People of South Africa. The African men are hunters with amazing skills. Bows and arrows are amazing hunting tools. This quiver has many uses and makes an excellent cylindrical container. This wood quiver holder was made to carry the slender hunter's arrows or darts , as these darts and arrows were often treated with plant poison, they had to be carefully protected. The lid is also made of a wood which a partition forms the upper part, A wood twine strap is attached to the quiver as well as around the quiver and this was hooked through the hunters belt for carrying. The lid does come off. This is a very interesting African quiver case and would make a lovely addition to you collection.
Shows age and use, some discoloration, but in good condition.
