The stool is wonderfully simple sculptural wood stool with a curved seat that is a symbol of nobility among the Senufo people. Senufo stools like this are carved from single blocks of wood with a thick, rounded edge seat. This stool has a large carved square leg in the front and two heavy legs in the back to support a person if they are leaning or just sitting. These are are wonderfully simple sculptural forms.
