This is an amazing, beautiful, vintage, well crafted, handmade Turkmen ceremonial wedding headdress. There are diamond shaped metal tassels that hang around the face. Around the back is an embroidered piece of red fabric. It is museum quality and just outstanding and in excellent condition. Turkestan, is a Turkic speaking group of tribes and the majority population of current Turkmenistan in Central Asia. The Turkestan are recognized for their elaborate silver jewelry, hand woven carpets, fine silk weaving and meticulous embroidery and elaborate clothing.
