This is a wonderful Kymer Rattan Backpack from Gie Trieng people from Laos. This backpack is made with split and woven rattan with two woven shoulder straps. These backpacks are used for hunting and gathering fish, herbs and vegetation. This backpack is a traditional design in in the Central Highlands of Loas. Shows some slight signs of wear and age and has a softened patina on the body contact surfaces. Collected in the field, used and shows age. This would be a wonderful addition to your collection or home.
