This beautifully Carved Wood Clan Dance Staff Finial is from the Middle Sepik Region of Papua New Guinea. Dance staffs with finials were almost always carved as human figures and were carried by men during certain ceremonial dances. This very ornate finial has carved detailed human faces and clan symbols and markings with a cassowary bird on top. A truly unique piece that would compliment our collection or home.
