This is an Old Hand Painted Wood Needle Case from the Akha Tribal People of Thailand. At least 25 years old and a rare piece of Akha Folk Art. The Akha women would keep their sewing needles in this case and wear them around their neck. These needle cases were securely shut after they finished their piece work. A great item for your home, collection or to give as a gift.
