This is a beautiful Vintage African Woven Grass Basket Made the Hansa Women of Northern Nigeria. Each basket has been individually hand-woven in Maidguri, by the Hansa women who collect various grasses, which they harvest every summer and weave into these baskets. These baskets are given as wedding gifts to save and store grain and they even double as decoration when not being used. A wonderful basket for your home or office.
