This is a Vintage Coral and Silver Patterned Rayon Japanese Kimono Sash or Obi that is worn by Japanese Woman. Obi, is a belt tied around the waist of a woman’s Kimono to hold it in place and is a necessary item when wearing a Kimono. The word “Obi” came from the word “Obu” which means “ to wear” in old Japanese. This Obi would be a wonderful addition to your collection or it can be a beautiful piece of art for your home.
