This lovely wood figure Carved Divination Bowl with a Twin/Rope handle, comes from the Baule Tribe of the Ivory Coast. This lovely bowl was used by the Shaman of the tribe. He would have ground maize and put it into the bowl and ground it into a fine powder. This a mouse would have been put into the Bowl and by running the Shaman would have read the running steps in printed into the ground maize. A wonderful collectors piece and would be an excellent addition to your home and collection.
