Mask African Wood Eket Ceremonial Mask 14.5"

Sorry, this item has sold.

This is a unique Hand Carved Wood Eket Mask from Nigeria. The Eket are part of the Ekpo society and their masks are used during ceremonies related to their Ekpo secret society. The masks are worn during drumming and music, which are important elements of the society and are enforced by the members of the Ekpo who act as messengers of the ancestors. A wonderful mask to adorn or home or to add to collection.
