This is a really unique Painted and Abstract Shaped Animal Clay Pipe made by the Tonga from Zambia. Zambia, a country in Southern Africa, has 73 ethnic tribes. The Tonga people are believed to be the oldest Bantu settlers in Zambia. Men and women of the The Tonga of the Gwembe Valley in particular were known to smoke using clay home-made pipes called Mbanje. The male pipes were bigger and longer than the female pipes. A wonderful pipe to add to your home or collection.
